Vanessa Bryant has paid a sweet tribute to her youngest daughter Capri, as she turned 10-months-old.
It’s been a week filled with milestones for Vanessa, as just two days after marking what would have been her 19th wedding anniversary to husband Kobe Bryant, she was seen celebrating baby Capri.
Sharing an adorable snap of her little girl sitting up in a knitted jumper and leggings with a bow in her hair, Vanessa wrote: ‘❤️Capri Kobe Bryant ❤️#10months❤️.’ Capri is seen smiling away while sat in front of a mini-armchair with her name printed across it.
Fans flooded the comments to coo over Capri, with many telling Vanessa just how gorgeous her and Kobe’s bubba is. Capri was just seven months when basketball legend Kobe tragically died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas alongside his daughter Gianna, 13.
The crash took place at the end of January, on the same day as the Grammy Awards, with a star-studded memorial later being held for Kobe and Gianna.
Vanessa broke down as she paid tribute to her daughter and her husband and has since opened up about how she is coping with her grief on social media.
Marking Mamba Day on 13 April – the day Kobe officially retired from the NBA – Vanessa wrote that ‘life truly isn’t fair’.
She said: ‘Mamba Day. My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all.
All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time.
‘He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives.
He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement.
‘I wish I could back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless.’
Since then, Vanessa marked on Instagram what would have been her and Kobe’s 19th wedding anniversary on 19 April.
Sharing a throwback picture of the pair, Vanessa said: ‘My king, my heart, my best friend. Happy 19th wedding anniversary baby.
I miss you so much. I wish you were here to hold me in your arms.
I love you.’ She also shared a snap of a bouquet of red roses and told fans they were ‘from Kobe’.
